The Swift continues to catapult the Suzuki brand to new heights delivering 635 unit sales to the brand in July. Suzuki has introduced a GLX specification to ensure that the Swift stays at the top of its game. This model will slot in below the recently introduced Swift Sport.

    Interior

The new Suzuki Swift 1.2 GLX offers luxuries such as automatic climate control, a keyless access system with Start/Stop button and a 7” touch screen infotainment system, as standard. The infotainment system in the Swift GLX offers a full colour display, voice command integration, full Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and will also display the image from the integrated reverse camera.

    Exterior

The Swift 1.2 GLX sets itself apart with new 15” alloy wheels. The outside rear-view mirrors and door handles are colour coded, while the grille, A- and B-pillars and C-pillar insert are blacked out. Recessed, colour-coded parking sensors on the rear bumper round up the generous exterior standard offering.

As with other Swifts in range, the Swift GLX also offers ISOFIX child seat mounting points, dual front airbags, central locking, LED rear tail lamps including high-mounted LED stop lamp and electric windows. An immobiliser and integrated alarm system are also added as standard.

    Engine

The Swift GLX is powered by Suzuki’s new-generation normally aspirated 1.2 litre petrol engine, which delivers 61 kW and 113 Nm. Buyers have a choice of a five-speed manual or a five-speed automated-manual transmission.

    Price

    • 1.2 GLX MT R199,900
    • 1.2 GLX AMT R214,900

All Suzuki Swift 1.2 models are sold with a 2-year /30,000 km service plan and 5-year/200,000 km promotional mechanical warranty.
