Nissan recently debuted a sportier version of the stylish and futuristic Ariya at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon. The crossover SUV is NISMO’s flagship EV model. It’s based on the Ariya e-4ORCE and features a dynamic new-generation EV NISMO design.

    Ariya NISMO performance

Nissan says, the Ariya NISMO delivers greater confidence and peace of mind thanks to its extremely powerful yet smooth acceleration, exemplary handling and stellar aerodynamic performance – all brought about by NISMO’s exclusive tuning.

The standard Ariya e-4ORCE AWD is powered by dual motors developing 225kW and 600Nm. Thanks NISMO tuning, the Ariya NISMO has approximately 10 percent greater peak output (228kW and 660Nm) combined with special acceleration tuning and an exclusive NISMO driving mode that maximizes response. The boffins at NISMO also tuned the sound, which is said to be reminiscent of Nissan’s Formula E race cars.

    Ariya NISMO styling

The exterior blends the Ariya’s premium quality with NISMO’s dynamism. Aerodynamic performance is improved thanks to race-derived technologies that reduce drag and provide greater downforce at higher speeds – factors particularly important for EVs. Meanwhile, the cabin exudes a premium air with high quality features throughout, including specially designed NISMO seats and trim.
