October turned out to be another strong month for Suzuki Auto South Africa, with the brand setting a new all-time sales record as local demand for its models continues to grow.

According to the latest data from naamsa, Suzuki sold 6,890 passenger and light commercial vehicles in October, surpassing its previous record of 6,534 units achieved in August. This marks the fourth consecutive month that Suzuki has sold more than 6,000 vehicles.

Dealer sales accounted for the majority with 4,842 units, while government, rental and fleet sales added 2,048. That figure is also a new high for Suzuki’s fleet division, beating its previous record from January by 183 units.

With these numbers, Suzuki continues to hold its position as South Africa’s second-best-selling vehicle manufacturer, a spot it has consistently maintained since the beginning of the year.

Among Suzuki’s 16 local models, the Swift led the way with 2,377 units sold. The recently launched Fronx crossover followed with 1,369, while the Baleno, Ertiga and Dzire also made strong contributions with 596, 521 and 409 units respectively.

Henno Havenga, General Manager of Auto Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa, said the record is a reflection of both customer trust and the brand’s strong dealer network. “Every model has played a part in this achievement, and our dealers deserve huge credit for their continued commitment to service excellence,” he said.

With just a few months left in the year, Suzuki looks set to finish 2025 on a high, building on a year of consistent growth and strong market performance.
