Ford South Africa has confirmed that the updated Territory will be heading to the local market, with sales expected to begin in the coming weeks.

The latest version brings a refreshed look, with styling that aligns more closely with Ford’s current global SUV design language. Alongside the exterior changes, the cabin has also been updated to feel more modern and spacious, with a focus on everyday usability.

The Territory continues to target family buyers, with an emphasis on comfort and technology. One of the notable additions is the introduction of the FordPass app, which will be available on the model for the first time, allowing owners to connect to their vehicle via their smartphones.

Under the bonnet, the Territory is powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine, producing 138kW and 318Nm. Power is sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, with multiple drive modes available. Adaptive cruise control will also be offered on selected variants.

Ford has also added two new exterior colour options to the range, namely Cactus Grey and Oasis Green.

Full specifications and pricing for the updated Ford Territory are expected to be announced closer to its official launch.
