BMW South Africa and BMW Motorrad South Africa have teamed up to create a pair of limited-run performance models available only in South Africa.

The new BMW M2 Coupé RR Edition joins the BMW M 1000 RR M2 Edition and BMW S 1000 RR M2 Edition, all finished in black with red accents and special RR detailing.

The BMW M2 Coupé RR Edition keeps the standard M2’s 353kW turbocharged straight-six engine but adds Black Sapphire Metallic paint, lowered M Performance suspension with red springs, Jet Black wheels, aerodynamic splitters, dual spoilers and a custom Akrapovič exhaust.

Inside, it gets black seats with red bolsters and stitching, plus a standard sunroof that is exclusive to this edition.

Only 10 units will be available locally, split between five manual and five automatic models, with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

On the bike side, both the BMW S 1000 RR M2 Edition and BMW M 1000 RR M2 Edition get Black Storm Metallic paint, red accents, red RR badging and Akrapovič exhaust systems, while remaining mechanically unchanged from the standard models.

Pricing starts at R406,950 for the S 1000 RR M2 Edition and R882,100 for the M 1000 RR M2 Edition. Pricing for the M2 Coupé RR Edition will be confirmed closer to launch.
